Participated in Bike Around the Bay today, a bike ride to benefit the Galveston Bay Foundation.  One thing that struck me was that these events create a large amount of waste. Although the organizers offered recycling for bottles, the packaging on snacks at rest stops were non-recyclable.  But, at least it was for a good cause, and not sure, in a time of COVID, how such packaging could be minimized.

Came across another electric vehicle option, the Polestar from Volvo.  It appears to be rather pricy, however, and I don't recall seeing it in the ratings from Consumer Reports. But, perhaps it is too new for rating.

Elmer, my spouse, has been investigating electric vehicle options, and learned recently that one we had been considering, the Honda Clarity, is no longer on the market in the US (the hybrid is still available, but not the fully electric).  So, we are now looking at BMW & Tesla as options.

Looks like I may not complete my ecochallenges by Oct. 28, but still targeting month-end regardless.  Not my best performance, but sometimes that's how it goes.

I suspect that my decluttering may not get done before the end of the EcoChallenge, but at least it's now on my to-do list!

My husband and I discussed getting our first rain barrel installed next weekend.  I'm hoping that we can make it happen. The second rain barrel won't be installed until a bit later, since it requires more preparation than the first one.  Looking forward to harvesting rainwater.  We have so much rain in Houston that it seems a great shame to use city water (which is partially from groundwater, whose use increases flooding due to subsidence) when rainwater is so freely available.

Well, we have our rain barrels, and I had hoped that we'd get them installed before the end of the EcoChallenge, but i's looking a bit tight.  Crossing my fingers that we can get at least one installed of the two that we got by October 28.

I am not making progress on decluttering.  Seems like I am always getting home to late to get much done.

Still haven't managed to actually file any of those papers that I sorted.  I seem to be at the office late a lot.  Hopefully I'll do better tomorrow.

Got all my filing organized.  Now I just need to get it all filed!  Progress, little by little....
