REFLECTION QUESTIONCommunity Volunteer in My CommunityWhat is one thing you can do to help your community become more sustainable?
Jourdan Bruce 10/27/2020 7:42 AMOne thing I can do to help my community is be aware. I can create a neural pathway in my mind for noticing things are good and bad for the environment. Once that neural pathway is created, it will be a lot easier to form habits, notice trash, etc. That is something that will take a lot of practice but has a ton of rewarding benefits for myself as well as others. -
Jourdan Bruce 10/12/2020 8:48 PMThe eco challenge is going great!! It’s super helpful to see how being mindful in the little things makes a big impact! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWater Say No to Plastic StrawsWhat single-use items (e.g. straws, coffee cups, vegetable bags, plastic bags) do you regularly use? What could be substituted instead?
Jourdan Bruce 10/08/2020 9:59 PMNormally, I use plastic bags at grocery stores... but I could easily substitute it for paper or reusable bags. I just have to put the effort into it. -

REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Healing and Renewal Practice Gratitude for EarthKathleen Dean Moore says that a sense of gratitude leads to a sense of moral obligation. Do you agree? How can we cultivate a sense of gratitude as individuals, and as a society?
Jourdan Bruce 10/08/2020 7:12 AMI don't know that it makes me feel obligated... but it definitely makes me feel more at peace and centered in my body. I think that we can simply cultivate gratitude by carving out time to do so. Us Americans hardly have time for anything anymore, which makes it hard to sit and think about what we are grateful for. If we just learn to sit, we can feel much more at peace. -
Jourdan Bruce 10/07/2020 8:17 AMEco Challenge has started and I am sooo excited!! I really want to learn a lot from this experience.
