    Waste Personal Waste Audit
Why is it often difficult to understand the impacts our purchases and waste have on other people, animals, and places?

It’s difficult to understand vital impacts bc our culture is one of impulsiveness and not consciousness. We are not faced with the consequences of our habits and actions. It’s worth understanding how our Items are made and implementing more awareness and distinctions between wants and needs.

What concerns you the most about how we are affecting the planet? Consider both local and global actions.

What concerns me the most about how we are affecting the planet is that we take our natural resources for granted. We are using and wasting way more than we produce. Slowing down, weighing needs over wants, becoming sustainable, if only for your herbs or vegetables that you use on a daily basis, is a step in the right direction.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Transportation Work From Home
It takes the average worker in the United States 26 minutes to travel to work. One way to fix long commutes would be to make cities more affordable. An even simpler option: promote the use of telework. How have you used technology to replace in-person meetings or work this year?

Even though working from the office seems like a luxury to me at the moment, because my home office has been turned into a bedroom for college students that had to move back home. I found a dry corner of the basement to continue to work from ever since. The transition to working from home full time has really been a positive one finding new ways and rekindling old ways to connect with colleagues. Sending cards via mail and face to face team chats have been very helpful.

This eco challenge has been great, offering a more sustainable and complete lifestyle. The challenge has really assisted me in staying on track. I hope to complete my daily actions after this is finished as this has become part of my routine. Great job everyone!

I watched a documentary titled “Chicago at the Crossroads”. I learned how segregated the City is and how the disparities of fair and affordable housing affect race and class. This was a very interesting take on the basis for gang violence and the lack of opportunity for other races.

Due to the quarantine,  family game night has become a part of our weekly routine. My children are older and in their 20's and home,  so this is a great way to catch up with them and spend time. Any new game suggestions are greatly appreciated. We have played about everything so far!
