  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Water 5-Minute Showers
Name some of the human activities impacting the health of water systems, both locally (your watershed) and globally (freshwater and oceans). What can you do to improve the health of water systems?

Avoid throwing sanitary towels, tampons and wet towels into the toilet. Incredible but true, many people still think the toilett is absorbing anything and everything!
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Waste Use Reusable Bags
What do you do if you find yourself in the situation of needing a bag for items but don't have a reusable one with you or aren't allowed to use the one you brought? Carry things out in your hands? In a cart? Accept a disposable one? If you find yourself in this position often, what system could you put in place to try to create a successful habit of not using plastic bags?

In the case I accidentally don't have one reusable bag with me, I accept a disposable one, but re-use it until it is not usable anymore (re-use it for another visit to the market for example). When possible, reduce the use of plastic bags by using reusable ones. When not possible, re-use the the plastic bag you get.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Simplicity Needs Vs. Wants
How is creativity a necessary ingredient for practicing simplicity?

Creativity helps you identify new uses of your belongings, so you avoid going down the fast-consuming path, by purchasing unnecessary items that lead to a cluttered house and life.
