    holistic health goes beyond me and my doctor.  creating a healthy home, healthy neighbourhood and strong governance for our city and its resources is a very important way that I like to build the scaffolding for my life.

    I know I use a lot of sugar when I bake.  this weekend I made muffins with dates as the sweetener.  they are delicious.

    I am lucky that there are a lot of hungry people in this house.  I am not throwing out the ends of veggies.  there is a bag in my freezer for soup stock that I just fill until I'm ready to boil it all

    even as the air gets colder in the fall and winter seasons it is amazing how many things you can find in the forest.  Nanny Berry tastes like a mix of tart berry and banana.  A little weird but kind of nice
