Denise's actions
Nature
Tend a Garden
Do at Home
I will tend to a garden, or prepare for one, each day using sustainable gardening practices.
Nature
Explore My Area
I will explore at least one new hiking trail or nature walk in my area.
Nature
Do Nature Activities
Do at Home
I will engage in nature-based activities alone, or with my friends or family, for 15 minute(s) each day. (This can be anything from going on a walk or hike, to noticing the leaves changing color, to reading a book with nature themes.)
Nature
Spend Time Outside
Do at Home
I will replace 15 minute(s) each day typically spent inside (computer time, watching television, etc.) with quality time outside.
Nature
Support Local Pollinators
Do at Home
At least 30% of crops and 90% of flowering plants rely on pollinators to produce fruit. I will spend 10 minutes researching which plants support local native pollinators and plant some in my yard.
Nature
Go for a Daily Walk
Do at Home
I will take a 15-minute walk outside each day.
Nature
Practice Gratitude for Earth
Do at Home
I will spend 15 minute(s) per day outside, practicing gratitude (prayer, meditation, journaling, etc.) for Earth and my natural surroundings.

Denise Krol 10/17/2020 7:11 AMToday wraps up my summer challenge of visiting all the Lake County Forest Preserves that have loops to hike. My daughter and I couldn't travel to our usual vacation spots in WI and needed a new hiking challenge. Insects were the main focus in summer, photos have been the main focus in fall. Hastings Lake was our visit for today!
