  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Action Track: Justice for the Whole Community Learn About Local Environmental Justice Concerns
Who is most affected by environmental degradation and/or environmental irresponsiblity in your community? How are they affected?

    Jennifer Morris's avatar
    Jennifer Morris 10/21/2020 12:08 PM
low income families, living in more urban areas.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Reduce Animal Products
Why do people in richer countries eat more meat than people in other places? How does eating more meat affect our planet and other people?

    Jennifer Morris's avatar
    Jennifer Morris 10/20/2020 3:37 PM
inefficient use of resources to grow meat, which is probably why richer people have more access to it/eat more of it.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Choose Organic Ingredients
Many people say that “you can’t feed the world with just organic food.” How would you respond to that statement?

    Jennifer Morris's avatar

growth mindset  eat local, in season, without waste and with deep enjoyment.   We are paying for transport, packaging, perservatives, other chemicals and a whole lot of food waste.  If we took that out overall, and build a local food economy, we could afford to give everyone access to organic food.  and that isn't even taking into account the reduced impact on our health care system.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Action Track: Healing and Renewal Nurture Self-Compassion
How can nurturing your Self-Compassion also nurture healthier relationships with others and the environment?

    Jennifer Morris's avatar
    Jennifer Morris 10/17/2020 1:13 PM
letting go of tension and anxiety removes blockages that prevent me from listening to others, seeing the world around me.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Action Track: Healing and Renewal Core Values
What are your top 3-5 core values? How did you narrow it down to those as being your core values?

    Jennifer Morris's avatar
    Jennifer Morris 10/17/2020 1:12 PM
    compassion, integrity, openness
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Meet My Local Farmers
When you know who produces your food, you are connecting personally to your complex regional food system. What are the advantages of knowing who produces your food and where it comes from? How can knowing their food producers enable someone to advocate for a better quality of life for those who produce their food, both near and far?

    Jennifer Morris's avatar
    Jennifer Morris 10/13/2020 8:58 PM
personal relationships bring knowledge and empathy, and the willingness to step away from daily life to advocate for a better life for others.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Action Track: Justice for the Whole Community Support a Sharing Economy
What are some of the barriers to sharing economies? What is your plan for supporting or creating one in your community?

    Jennifer Morris's avatar
    Jennifer Morris 10/08/2020 4:38 PM
theft.  lack of trust.  products that are not robust.  lack of interest.  lack of knowledge.   My horse community shares equipment regularly, helped by trust and good labeling of ownership or place for return :-)  We are now working on a shared disaster relief trailer that will be available across our county, with supplies to be available to anyone who needs them.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Action Track: Justice for the Whole Community Research Voter Suppression
What are the ways in which voters are prohibited from or discouraged from voting in your region and/or state? What could be done to get rid of these barriers?

    Jennifer Morris's avatar
    Jennifer Morris 10/08/2020 4:36 PM
misinformation about availability of polling places, threatening or disturbing individuals at the location, misinformation about effectivenss of mail in ballots.   Local action, trusted neighbors and friends empowered with actual information who can and will take the time to help everyone make their vote count.
