REFLECTION QUESTIONWater Install a Toilet Tank BankName some of the human activities impacting the health of water systems, both locally (your watershed) and globally (freshwater and oceans). What can you do to improve the health of water systems?
Karima Mouelhi 10/21/2020 2:05 AMOne of the most serious threats to water resources is the degradation of ecosystems, which often takes place through changes to landscapes such as the clearance of forests, the conversion of natural landscapes to farmland, the growth of cities, the building of roads, and surface mining.
Sediment can also reduce the capacity of reservoirs and make it difficult for ships to navigate in waterways. It can also damage equipment used in water supply installations and hydroelectric plants, thus increasing their maintenance costs. -
