Weekly Meal Planning
Do at Home
I will reduce food waste and save money by prepping for 1 meal(s) each day, only buying the ingredients I need.
Simplicity
Work-Life Balance

I will not work more than 8 hour days each day to practice work-life balance.
Water
Say No to Plastic Straws
Do at Home
An estimated 71% of seabirds and 30% of turtles have been found with plastics in their stomachs. When they ingest plastic, marine life has a 50% mortality rate. By asking for no straw when placing a drink order, I will keep 1 plastic straw(s) of out of the ocean each day.

Exercise Daily
Do at Home
Exercise is a great stress blaster! I will exercise for 30 minute(s) each day.

Rosalind Tan 10/27/2020 6:09 PMIt is hard to practise work-life balance when you are working on a project. Must listen to your body to ensure good health and mind. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth Exercise DailyHow can you incorporate other personal values (like quality time with friends or spending time in nature) into your exercise routine?
Rosalind Tan 10/21/2020 5:40 PMTo spend more time with nature, I try to do mine morning(or evening) walks in the parks. Be aware of the surrounding and appreciate nature's giving and glory. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Weekly Meal PlanningAn average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four in the US spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Does this surprise you? Where would you rather use this money?
Rosalind Tan 10/07/2020 11:30 PMDuring the start of the COvid-19 period, I was over-buying and felt the pinch. Spoke to some colleagues and I started on a weekly menu. It has been ~ 5mths and I find this method useful as I dont throw away food nor keep them too long. The money I save would be spend on buying a nice meal or go for a massage or treat myself to a cheesecake !-

REFLECTION QUESTIONWater Say No to Plastic StrawsWhat single-use items (e.g. straws, coffee cups, vegetable bags, plastic bags) do you regularly use? What could be substituted instead?
Rosalind Tan 9/28/2020 6:23 PMI use veg bags and plastic bags. Wash and recycle them as garbage bags or reuse them a few times (supermarket or wet market purchase).
