In my case, the best way to garden herbs is to grow them in pots on the windowsill. And that's what I do. I always have fresh herbs :)

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Nature Learn About the Impact of Old Refrigerants
Why are old refrigerant gases so harmful to our environment?

    Lukasz Wisniewski's avatar
    Lukasz Wisniewski 10/27/2020 3:03 PM
CFCs (chlorofluorocarbons) were the first refrigerants to gain popularity, and they were present in everything from vehicles to air conditioners and refrigerators. CFCs have a long lifecycle, which allows them to accumulate in the atmosphere; upon interacting with sunlight, the molecules divide and release chlorine into the air. Chlorine in the atmosphere actively destroys oxygen, and that interaction results in the destruction of the ozone layer.

Change your light bulbs to LEDs.
Wash your clothes in cold water if possible.
    Use natural light when possible.
Don't leave your electronics on all day long.
Don't leave bathroom or kitchen ventilation fans running longer than necessary.
Install a programmable thermostat that will automatically adjust the temperature according to your schedule.

The equivalent of one truck of plastic is dumped into our oceans every single minute. By 2030, it will be two truckloads per minute and by 2050, four.

Replacing my old windows with new, triple-glazed windows, my house is definitely warmer. Thanks to this, I have to cool my flat more often (by opening windows) than to set my radiators to heat.
