  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Community Learn About Trans, Femme, and Nonbinary Experiences
How is equality for trans, femme, and nonbinary people important to a just and sustainable society?

    Nancy Hoban's avatar
    Nancy Hoban 10/28/2020 7:42 AM
I think each experience for nonbinary people is different and it helps for others to have a better understanding of where they are coming from. So much is unknown and hidden that it is offered ignored.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Waste Learn About & Practice Sustainable Fashion
How can you express your personality, creativity, and values in ways that don't require fast fashion or buying more clothes and accessories?

    Nancy Hoban's avatar
    Nancy Hoban 10/28/2020 7:40 AM
I have a portfolio of colored pencil artwork that I have worked on over the years. I am pleased to say that my local library displayed my framed artwork in November 2018.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Simplicity Family Game Hour
How does being playful with others enrich your life?

    Nancy Hoban's avatar
    Nancy Hoban 10/28/2020 7:34 AM
Laughing and engaging in simple activities made me feel joyful.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Health Audit Toxic Cleaning Products in my Home
To what extent do environmental factors contribute to your own health or issues with health?

    Nancy Hoban's avatar
    Nancy Hoban 10/28/2020 7:33 AM
Environmental factors such as using more disinfectant wipes and/or sprays to clean surfaces are a double edged sword. We need them to get rid of nasty germs, but I learned the wipes are hard on the environment since they don't break down very easily.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Food Buy From a Farmers Market
What is one food choice that you make, or could make, that would do more good and less harm?

    Nancy Hoban's avatar
    Nancy Hoban 10/28/2020 7:30 AM
Buying vegetables from a farmers market is always a great choice! Not only does it taste delicious, it helps the local farmers too. They also told me that less pesticides are used. Win, win!
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Action Track: Healing and Renewal Engage In Active Listening
What was it like to actively listen to someone? How did both people and the conversation(s) benefit from active listening?

    Nancy Hoban's avatar
    Nancy Hoban 10/28/2020 7:28 AM
By actively listening, I feel that you get a deeper understanding of what the person is saying without thinking about what you are going to say next.

Today I donated a winter coat at Land's End in Deer Park. They are supporting a local charity and the lady who took it was so appreciative. It felt great and now I have more room in my closet!
