REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Find Local Recycling DepotsOur ability to recycle certain things ebbs and flows based upon many factors, including market demand for recyclables. Luckily there are places that accept uncommon things to recycle or dispose of in a less harmful way. What did you find when looking for places to recycle items that can't be recycled in your curbside bin?
Samantha Zehr 10/28/2020 2:04 PMI found that a lot of businesses I already do to are the same place I can recycle at- like my grocery store takes thin plastics or best buy takes small electronics. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONNature Explore My AreaHow can spending more time outdoors enhance your sense of place -- your deep knowledge of and appreciation for your surroundings?
Samantha Zehr 10/28/2020 2:02 PMWe have a lot of forest preserves near us and plan to explore as many as we can this winter. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Justice for the Whole Community Watch a Documentary about Racial InjusticeWhat did you learn about racial injustice in the documentary(ies) you watched? How does what you learned connect to your understanding of sustainability?

REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Learn About & Practice Sustainable FashionHow can you express your personality, creativity, and values in ways that don't require fast fashion or buying more clothes and accessories?
Samantha Zehr 10/19/2020 2:23 PMI've always enjoyed buying clothes from thrift stores but it's hard to find specific items sometimes. I discovered online secondhand shopping options that make it really easy to find very specific items you are looking for. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicity Track My PurchasesWhat have you noticed about your purchases? Where are you inclined to make shifts, if any?
Samantha Zehr 10/19/2020 2:21 PMWay too much spent on ordering dinner out when we feel crunched for time. Planning ahead and meal prepping help cut down. -
