My challenge is going very well, there are a few things that I keep missing that I should be doing (they are so easy) yet so difficult for me to complete daily.  Overall, is has been a great experience.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Nature Go for a Daily Walk
How do you experience your neighborhood or city differently when walking instead of driving?

    Martin Aguirre's avatar

Everything is slower, so I am able to enjoy the views, the smells, the noise.  You see and feel things you cant when you are in a vehicle.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

I plan to save the money that is saved by making energy efficient choices.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Energy Adjust the Thermostat
Your utility company is able to tell you your average energy usage. Ask them how your energy usage compares to others in your ZIP code, region, and/or state. What other steps can you take each day to reduce your electricity usage?

I joined the challenge because I was invited too.  I choose the actions I did because those are the actions that are important to my family and me.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Energy Turn It Off
How is electricity generated where you live? How does it impact the environment, animals, and humans?

It is generated mostly from hydroelectric dams. Dams produce methane ,blocks natural waterways, destroys ecosystems and alters the geology of rivers. Dams only run as long as the volume of water in rivers is sustained. Increasingly dangerous weather conditions and an exploding population put that at risk.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Health Exercise Daily
How can you incorporate other personal values (like quality time with friends or spending time in nature) into your exercise routine?
