Rebecca Schell 10/25/2020 5:39 PMToday was a great day, I actually was able to get outside and connect with nature after a stressful day at work. While this wasn't one of my daily goals, it was just something nice to do for myself today. -
Rebecca Schell 10/23/2020 8:16 PMGoing very well! Excited for the weekend and the final days of the challenge next week! It's going to be an exciting finish! -
Rebecca Schell 10/21/2020 8:23 AMWhile yesterday was a difficult day, I was still able to complete all of my goals. I had some things happening in my personal life that made it hard to keep my goals when all I wanted to do was get in my car and drive to go get ice cream. Thankfully I had a great support system and I was able to stay on track with the progress I've made! -
Rebecca Schell 10/19/2020 9:41 AMIt's Monday and I feel rejuvenated and ready for an exciting week! Only 9 more days of the ecochallenge and I am so PUMPED for the progress I've made both personally and for the environment. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicity Less Screen TimeWhat did you notice in implementing this challenge? Was it hard to choose other activities over screen time? How did you decide to spend your time?
Rebecca Schell 10/17/2020 9:08 AMThis challenge is very important to me as I know how my mental health is affected by the amount of time I spend scrolling through TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc. I used the Screen Time function on iPhone to keep me in check and force me to go do something in the "real world". I was able to get caught up (and get ahead) on homework and get things done for personal projects that I've been putting off. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Healing and Renewal ForgivenessHow has the process of forgiving, or contemplating forgiveness, benefited you?
Rebecca Schell 10/17/2020 9:06 AMForgiving myself is something that may take a long time, but I think I can finally say I've gotten to a place where I feel comfortable in my own skin and I am proud of the person I am. I don't feel as pressured to conform to what everyone expects of me. -
Rebecca Schell 10/17/2020 9:04 AMIt has been a long week that was very slow and left me looking for things to do. I took the time to go on walks rather than scroll TikTok. I found myself more at peace with myself and feeling happier and healthier than I know I do after clicking out of TikTok. It's good to get away from the screen for a little! -
Rebecca Schell 10/16/2020 12:43 PMI was really impressed to see the number of documentaries we have watched as a team! Get your friends involved and maybe host a viewing party (safely and distantly of course)! I think it's so important to not only keep ourselves informed, but to help those around us grow as well. -
Rebecca Schell 10/16/2020 12:39 PMIt's Friday and things are going great. I've been working really hard at cutting down my time on social media and instead putting my energy into spending time with loved ones or working hard on personal projects I never had the time to start. It feels good and makes me feel more accomplished just because I'm putting my phone down! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Go PaperlessReducing your paper mail can reduce mental clutter as well as physical waste -- by reducing what is coming in, you can reduce what is going into the recycling bin too. How does it make you feel? What is the next step you will take to reduce your waste?
Rebecca Schell 10/14/2020 8:10 AMIt feels so good to know I'm creating an impact on the environment because recycling paper is something so huge! It's something not a lot of people think about and while some paper breaks down easily, it piles up
