  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Waste Skip the Straw
How could you incorporate other "R's" -- reduce, reuse, refuse, repair, repurpose, etc. -- into your lifestyle?

I can incorporate others R's in my lifestyle by having an open mind when throwing something out or when something is broken.

I know that the production of fabric causes a lot of air and water pollution so as one solution, when I outgrow my dresses I wear them as skirts and then when they are too small I pass them down to other girls I know to keep the reuse chain going.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Health Learn About Local Environmental Justice Concerns
Who is most affected by environmental degradation and/or environmental irresponsiblity in your community? How are they affected?

    Farrah Avender's avatar
    Farrah Avender 10/27/2020 11:40 AM
The people most affected in my community are people in lower income neighborhoods where the air quality is dangerous and is not managed by the city.

    Simplicity Needs Vs. Wants

If we practice creativity in our mindsets than we can have a new perspective on how to make things easier.

Everytime I am in nature there is always a significant experience for me. I could be at the river and see an otter or I could find a caterpillar on my walk through the forest.

The images of you nature experiences are beautiful! It shows how much you are living in the moment and aware of your surroundings, which must be very relaxing!
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Waste Use a Reusable Water Bottle
While water bottles are needed for health and safety in certain places, we can do more to reduce the unnecessary use of them. What are the barriers to you using reusable bottles and tap water instead of bottled water? How could you make this a permanent habit?

A barrier of using a reusable water bottle is that you have to keep it clean. I could make this a habit by washing my cup every night before I got to bed so it will be ready to use the next day.
