REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Learn About & Practice Sustainable FashionHow can you express your personality, creativity, and values in ways that don't require fast fashion or buying more clothes and accessories?
madi b-wells 10/28/2020 9:39 PMpeople can also use things they already have to make newer items!! i see so many people making new clothing items out of their old clothing items. this allows them to express themselves in any way they would like. you can do the same thing for accessories. an old beaded necklace can be turned into a new ring or earrings; doing this allows people to be creative and sustainable at the same time!!! it also allows your clothing to be one-of-a-kind which is so cool -
REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Justice for the Whole Community Watch a Documentary about Food SovereigntyHow does food sovereignty address the complex transition from localized food systems to modern global food systems?
madi b-wells 10/28/2020 9:18 PMwhen transitioning to modern global food systems from localized food systems, it is so important that people in lower-income communities and poc do not catch the short end of the stick. it is just as important for them to have access to healthy, and nutritious food.-
Skye Morton 10/28/2020 9:28 PMthis is so important! It's so horrible that that's even a problem!

madi b-wells 10/28/2020 9:14 PMduring the ecochallenge, I started taking 5 minute showers!! it was honestly pretty hard at first, but i've gotten so used to taking quick showers now!! it's so cool to think about how much water i have saved from doing something so simple -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWater 5-Minute ShowersName some of the human activities impacting the health of water systems, both locally (your watershed) and globally (freshwater and oceans). What can you do to improve the health of water systems?
madi b-wells 10/28/2020 9:03 PMhuman activities such as fishing impact the health of our water. oil spills are also really bad for the water and all of the organisms and animals that encounter oil in the ocean. in order to improve the health of water systems, we can make sure that companies have to take responsibility for their errors (hopefully this will encourage them to not make errors that put the health of humans and animals alike at risk). -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Reduce Animal ProductsWhy do people in richer countries eat more meat than people in other places? How does eating more meat affect our planet and other people?
madi b-wells 10/28/2020 8:59 PMpeople in richer countries eat more meat because they are able to afford it. meat is not a cheap food, it is a luxury in most countries!! eating meat affects the planet because raising cattle, chickens, and pigs, generates a lot of greenhouse gas (the same amount generated by cars and automobiles combined)!! -

REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Buy From a Farmers MarketWhat is one food choice that you make, or could make, that would do more good and less harm?
madi b-wells 10/26/2020 10:05 PMbuying local could do more good than harm!. it not only reduces your food travel miles, but it also supports local businesses! its truly a win-win :)-
Leah Karren 10/28/2020 8:24 PMseriously!!! and i think it makes that food even more yum knowing exactly where it came from ;)
