  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Energy Install Alternative Energy
How is your region being affected by climate change? How will it be affected in the future?

    Juangui Berrios's avatar
    Juangui Berrios 10/24/2020 11:44 AM
The infrastructure of my region is affected by hurricanes and earthquakes and we are working with that. However, as a country we are not managing the impact we are having on the environment due to climate change. We are ignoring it, sadly.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Energy Online Energy Audit
What most interested or surprised you about your own energy footprint? What changes did you make or will you make?

    Juangui Berrios's avatar
    Juangui Berrios 10/24/2020 11:40 AM
What surprised me the most about my own energy footprint is the amount of electrical beings that exist in my home. It is necessary to lower this dependence on oil to generate energy. I am going to replace the electric water heater with a solar one.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Waste Go Paperless
Reducing your paper mail can reduce mental clutter as well as physical waste -- by reducing what is coming in, you can reduce what is going into the recycling bin too. How does it make you feel? What is the next step you will take to reduce your waste?

    Juangui Berrios's avatar
    Juangui Berrios 10/23/2020 4:41 PM
It makes me feel great when I can reduce paper waste by eliminating paper mail and using the electronic system. Now, communicating with the mail of commercial matters so that they do not continue to send me that type of correspondence that is not of my interest and ends up in the trash.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Waste Carry my Trash
What one thing could you do right away to reduce your waste?

    Juangui Berrios's avatar
    Juangui Berrios 10/22/2020 11:03 AM
In my home we are reusing materials to reduce the amount of waste we generate daily.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Transportation Research and Consider Switching to a Hybrid or Electric Vehicle
Reducing (or eliminating) exhaust emissions and improving public health are two benefits of green vehicles. What other motivators inspire you to consider switching to a more fuel-efficient vehicle?

    Juangui Berrios's avatar
    Juangui Berrios 10/22/2020 9:15 AM
Using a more fuel efficient vehicle inspires me because I feel less dependent on the global fuel market.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Community Volunteer in My Community
What is one thing you can do to help your community become more sustainable?

    Juangui Berrios's avatar
    Juangui Berrios 10/21/2020 10:54 AM
I will promote with my neighbors to put solar lamps in their gardens and patios of their homes to help be a more sustainable community.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Transportation Car Share
Take a moment to think of places you frequent often (work, grocery store, school, natural areas). Could you choose one or two days a week to schedule driving with a friend, neighbor or co-worker to these places?

    Juangui Berrios's avatar
    Juangui Berrios 10/21/2020 10:49 AM
We coordinate with two neighbors to go to work in a single car three times a week
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Community Engage In Active Listening
What was it like to actively listen to someone? How did both people and the conversation(s) benefit from active listening?

    Juangui Berrios's avatar
    Juangui Berrios 10/20/2020 3:27 PM
The experience of actively listening to someone was rewarding because I could see that the people they were listening to tried harder to try to communicate their thoughts to me because I showed an interest in listening to them. The overall benefit was that we were able to understand each other and ask the appropriate questions or inquire effectively.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Transportation Improve a Bus Stop
How can you advocate for transportation systems which minimize environmental impact while also meeting human needs?

    Juangui Berrios's avatar
    Juangui Berrios 10/20/2020 8:35 AM
My country has a major traffic congestion problem that generates many emissions of pollutants into the air. The implementation of an effective train system would significantly reduce this impact on the environment.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Water Eco-Friendly Gardening
What are the most prominent water concerns in your area? Examples include drought, flooding, pollution, access, security, and privatization.

    Juangui Berrios's avatar
    Juangui Berrios 10/19/2020 9:40 AM
The biggest water concerns in my area are flooding and planning.
