REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Justice for the Whole Community Learn About Trans, Femme, and Nonbinary ExperiencesHow is equality for trans, femme, and nonbinary people important to a just and sustainable society?
Elizabeth Bosanko 10/27/2020 7:35 PMTrans, femme, and nonbinary people should have the same rights as any other person. When they have to spend time and energy fighting for these rights, they are disadvantaged. They are fighting for survival and acceptance. This means that they don't have as much time to focus on a sustainable lifestyle or fighting for the environment. -
Elizabeth Bosanko 10/27/2020 9:29 AMI'm proud of the work that we have done as a team throughout this challenge. I hope to continue to push myself even when the challenge is over. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Justice for the Whole Community Learn More about Food ApartheidWhat can lack of access to nutritious food affect a community? How can having access to nutritious food help a community become more resilient?
Elizabeth Bosanko 10/27/2020 9:27 AMA lack of nutritious food hinders a community. Nutritious food is a survival need. When a community has to spend all their focus and resources on obtaining nutrient rich food, they are held back from other goals. Having access to nutritious food helps communities become more resilient because it helps them physically as well as frees up time to pursue other goals such as better infrastructure, eductaion, etc.-

Elizabeth Bosanko 10/22/2020 8:08 PMWe learned about the state that our country and world will be in if we continue on this path. The future of our climate and country is extremely concerning. We felt worried. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Justice for the Whole Community Get Involved in the Water Justice MovementWho is affected by polluted water or a lack of access to water in your region? How are they affected?
Elizabeth Bosanko 10/20/2020 8:20 PMIn PA water scarcity is less of a problem according to the water atlas. However, water pollution will affect all those along the Susquehanna River and those on the Chesapeake Bay since PA does feed into the bay. -

REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Find Local Recycling DepotsOur ability to recycle certain things ebbs and flows based upon many factors, including market demand for recyclables. Luckily there are places that accept uncommon things to recycle or dispose of in a less harmful way. What did you find when looking for places to recycle items that can't be recycled in your curbside bin?
Elizabeth Bosanko 10/19/2020 12:09 PMElectronics can be recycled at Best Buy, Staples, or Hand Up. Spiral Bulbs are recyclable at Lowe’s Home Improvement Warehouse of Selinsgrove and plastic bags can be returned to stores like Weis. -
Elizabeth Bosanko 10/19/2020 11:58 AMThe challenge is going well! I may add some new activities to by dashboard
