REFLECTION QUESTIONEnergy Use an Energy MeterHow can you make your home more energy efficient?
Michelle Chavez 10/27/2020 8:34 AMWash full loads, wash clothes at a lower temperature, avoid wasting water -
REFLECTION QUESTIONNature Plant TreesHow is planting trees good for your mental, physical, and spiritual health?
Michelle Chavez 10/18/2020 1:26 PMI believe that planting trees helps you to be patient, it helps me personally to reflect on life, how a simple seed can grow so much with the necessary care. It helps you to be patient, careful, loving with plants and with everything around you. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONNature Go for a Daily WalkHow do you experience your neighborhood or city differently when walking instead of driving?
Michelle Chavez 10/18/2020 1:25 PMI feel that it is a really different panorama, I see things (trees, houses, animals) that normally I cannot appreciate from driving. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONNature Leave No TraceEducator Stephanie Kaza advises her students to focus on what they care about most when addressing the enormity of ecological problems. Is there a specific area you feel particularly called to work on?
-
REFLECTION QUESTIONNature Explore My AreaHow can spending more time outdoors enhance your sense of place -- your deep knowledge of and appreciation for your surroundings?
Michelle Chavez 10/18/2020 1:23 PMI really appreciate going for a walk on the street, without my cell phone, without technology to appreciate the sounds of nature. I love listening to the birds sing, seeing the different types of trees and their fruits, appreciating each plant, breathing fresh air. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONEnergy Switch to Cold WaterWhat do you plan to do with the money you save from making more energy efficient choices?
-
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportation Car ShareTake a moment to think of places you frequent often (work, grocery store, school, natural areas). Could you choose one or two days a week to schedule driving with a friend, neighbor or co-worker to these places?
-
REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Go PaperlessReducing your paper mail can reduce mental clutter as well as physical waste -- by reducing what is coming in, you can reduce what is going into the recycling bin too. How does it make you feel? What is the next step you will take to reduce your waste?
Michelle Chavez 10/13/2020 8:57 AMI went paperless long time ago and I feel good! I don't need the physical bank statements. I will encourage my family and friends to do the same -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Choose Organic IngredientsMany people say that “you can’t feed the world with just organic food.” How would you respond to that statement?
Michelle Chavez 10/13/2020 8:55 AMI strongly believe that the main issue is the food distribution, there are tons of food waste all over the world specially in the USA -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWater Fix Leaky FaucetsFixing leaky faucets is one of the tasks that we can easily put off until later. Good job on completing this action! How will you use the momentum from completing this action to increase your water efficiency in other ways?
