Say No to Plastic Straws
Do at Home
An estimated 71% of seabirds and 30% of turtles have been found with plastics in their stomachs. When they ingest plastic, marine life has a 50% mortality rate. By asking for no straw when placing a drink order, I will keep 5 plastic straw(s) of out of the ocean each day.
Food
Reduce Animal Products
Do at Home
I will enjoy 1 meatless meal(s) and/or 1 vegan meal(s) each day this week.

Exercise Daily
Do at Home
Exercise is a great stress blaster! I will exercise for 30 minute(s) each day.

REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Reduce Animal ProductsWhy do people in richer countries eat more meat than people in other places? How does eating more meat affect our planet and other people?
Frankie C 10/12/2020 9:10 AMEating more meat can affect our planet because it can cause animals to get hurt. I want to go vegan but I need to convince my parents :P -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWater Say No to Plastic StrawsWhat single-use items (e.g. straws, coffee cups, vegetable bags, plastic bags) do you regularly use? What could be substituted instead?
Frankie C 10/12/2020 9:08 AMI tend to use plastic straws and plastic water bottles a lot, but I do have metal straws in my home so I will use them more and use a reusable water bottle.
