Say No to Plastic Straws

Do at Home

An estimated 71% of seabirds and 30% of turtles have been found with plastics in their stomachs. When they ingest plastic, marine life has a 50% mortality rate. By asking for no straw when placing a drink order, I will keep 5 plastic straw(s) of out of the ocean each day.

Well shower number one is down. It was pretty tough though. I had to prepare everything before I turned the water on. I set up an alarm even. It was crazy how fast a min shower is.

I think that shorter showers and more efficient appliances would go a long way on a more sustainable water future.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

I was so use to just buying bottled water from the convenient store. Because of this class I have invested in a Hydro Flask. So I have saved on at least 2 bottles of water a day from using a fillable water bottle instead of a throw away bottle.
