REFLECTION QUESTIONCommunity Support A Sharing EconomyWhat benefits does a sharing economy offer to your own life? What benefits does it off to your neighbors' and community members' lives?
Kim Horn 10/20/2020 6:38 AMWe have partnered with our neighbors to grow different vegetables and herbs. We share what we harvest with each other and it has become a big celebration between us. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Learn About & Practice Sustainable FashionHow can you express your personality, creativity, and values in ways that don't require fast fashion or buying more clothes and accessories?
Kim Horn 10/20/2020 6:36 AMI have been doing a lot of research around clothing companies that are eco-frieindly. I am so in love with Toad & Co. They have quickly become one of my new favorite brands. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONCommunity Research Voter SuppressionWhat are the ways in which voters are prohibited from or discouraged from voting in your region and/or state? What could be done to get rid of these barriers?
Kim Horn 10/20/2020 6:35 AMI read about how ballots in our area that were mailed out to residents in the 40299 zip code were found in the trash. Locals are now being urged to reach out to their County Clerks office to inquire about when their ballots were mailed out. -

REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Find Local Recycling DepotsOur ability to recycle certain things ebbs and flows based upon many factors, including market demand for recyclables. Luckily there are places that accept uncommon things to recycle or dispose of in a less harmful way. What did you find when looking for places to recycle items that can't be recycled in your curbside bin?
Kim Horn 10/20/2020 6:33 AMWe struggled with finding a local recycle center that would take glass. We FINALLY found one this morning. -

REFLECTION QUESTIONNature Go for a Daily WalkHow do you experience your neighborhood or city differently when walking instead of driving?
Kim Horn 10/14/2020 12:16 PMMy husband and I take our dogs for a 3 mile walk every morning before work. We live in the country so we look forward to hearing the roosters which we have nicknamed Alpha Rooster, as they have a strong voice, and Party Rooster, as they sound like they haven't slept in a week and are fueled by caffeine. We also have a crane that calls a field by our house home. We look for her every morning and she will get within a couple of feet from us some mornings. Other mornings she isn't feeling the dogs and will get protective of her space. It is always interesting to see what will happen on our walks. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Healing and Renewal Nurture Self-CompassionHow can nurturing your Self-Compassion also nurture healthier relationships with others and the environment?
