Jennifer Jacobs 10/27/2020 1:05 PMWell, this has been a challenge alright. I have felt not just the challenge of doing my tasks. I have found it hard to remember to check in daily and follow through with my posts. I know that this has definitely made me more aware. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicity Needs Vs. WantsHow is creativity a necessary ingredient for practicing simplicity?
Jennifer Jacobs 10/27/2020 1:03 PMIt is very difficult in today's society to live a "simple" life. We are expected to have the next best gadget and we are so eager to cut our work at home down so we want to make life easier there as well. When I think of simplicity I think of doing without that gadget. I feel that a lot of the things that I have felt were necessary are really not. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONNature Practice Gratitude for EarthKathleen Dean Moore says that a sense of gratitude leads to a sense of moral obligation. Do you agree? How can we cultivate a sense of gratitude as individuals, and as a society?
Jennifer Jacobs 10/27/2020 1:00 PMI have gained more gratitude since becoming more aware of how important the Earth is for us to survive and how we as people move within this system. Knowing where we are within the system and how each organism works to help the next. We are all interconnected and being so we are obligated to our future generations. -

Jennifer Jacobs 10/24/2020 6:20 PMEvery day is a struggle; my best advice is to keep on keeping on. -
Jennifer Jacobs 10/24/2020 6:19 PMIt was a freezing day out today. I have been sick for the last week, so I felt that I should take it a little easy. I plan on making up for the time that I missed outside tomorrow when it is supposed to be much warmer outside. -
Jennifer Jacobs 10/24/2020 6:16 PMI have recently been faced with having to find a new place to live. I have made it my number one goal to get rid of unused items. I like to donate them to people who need them more than me. I have made it a point to make at least one bag a day. -
Jennifer Jacobs 10/24/2020 6:13 PMRight now, I am really struggling with needs vs. wants. I am still finding myself buying unnecessary items at the store every time I go. I have been trying to lower the number of items each time I go; however, I do not always succeed. -
Jennifer Jacobs 10/24/2020 6:11 PMAs the weather gets colder I find myself less motivated to be outside. -
Jennifer Jacobs 10/20/2020 1:15 PMI have been struggling to remember to check in every day. I think that my best solution would be to make this part of my daily routine.
