REFLECTION QUESTIONNature Explore My AreaHow can spending more time outdoors enhance your sense of place -- your deep knowledge of and appreciation for your surroundings?
Katie Jentzsch 10/25/2020 5:57 PMSpending time outdoors has made me feel even more a part of my community. I now know where hidden trails are around my neighborhood and know I don't have to go far to feel like I'm in nature. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Healing and Renewal Go for a Daily Walk OutsideFresh air and movement are good for our entire being and can help us think more clearly and creatively. How does taking a walk each day affect yourself and/or your work?
Katie Jentzsch 10/21/2020 8:56 PMTaking a walk gives me a boost of energy. It's a time to relax, be with nature, and have some time for just myself (for most walks). I've also used walks as a way to split up my day between work and evening while working from home. Walks give me a pretend commute that gives a bit more structure to my day. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicity Less Screen TimeWhat did you notice in implementing this challenge? Was it hard to choose other activities over screen time? How did you decide to spend your time?
Katie Jentzsch 10/14/2020 4:27 PMIt was surprising to see how things that I don't think of having computer screen time require a screen. Exercise lately has required a screen since I've been doing YouTube workouts instead of going to the gym and I've been reading books on my phone. I transitioned to physical books to have less screen time, plus I have done some paper and pen writing, taken walks outside, and spent time with family. My eyes always appreciate breaks from less screen time.
