Didn't know such a thing as environmental racism existed until I saw a video. That was an eye opener. 
When you live a sheltered and cocooned life, you are ignorant of all the injustices that occur around you. Your parents try and do the utmost for you, put you in the best schools, give you the best education, help you develop into a successful person. This literally means that you are well into adulthood before you are conscious of the inequalities in life and you realize that life  unfolds so differently in different parts of the world, the country and even down your road!
