REFLECTION QUESTIONNature Tend a GardenHave you ever had a significant experience in nature that altered your perspective or focus? If so, please describe it.
Bigi Luginbuhl 10/28/2020 12:03 PMDefinitely. Not sure which experience to share. The view from a mountain I chose to climb in the spur of the moment. It was difficult and in the middle I almost turned around but chose instead to continue forward. I was rewarded with the most breathtaking view of the cascades spread out in front of me. It was amazing. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONNature Keep a Nature JournalWhat natural gifts are you grateful for?
Bigi Luginbuhl 10/28/2020 12:00 PMThe view from my home, the wind, trees, birds and the peace I feel among them. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONNature Explore My AreaHow can spending more time outdoors enhance your sense of place -- your deep knowledge of and appreciation for your surroundings?
Bigi Luginbuhl 10/28/2020 11:59 AMIt helps me to stay grounded and remember what’s really important in my life. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Healing and Renewal HappinessHow does/can practicing gratitude keep you centered and motivated to work for a better world?
Bigi Luginbuhl 10/28/2020 11:55 AMIt reminds me to focus on all the good in my life and not to focus on the difficult things. -
Bigi Luginbuhl 10/27/2020 12:42 PMI wish that I had gotten more involved earlier in this challenge but will refer to it and continue to do some of the things after it ends. Life sometimes gets so busy that I forget to take the time to do things like this that would only make it better. I am glad this platform exists. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Healing and Renewal Core ValuesWhat are your top 3-5 core values? How did you narrow it down to those as being your core values?
Bigi Luginbuhl 10/27/2020 12:40 PMMy health, Love, gratitude and appreciation, Kindness and compassion and Connection. Narrowing it down was quite difficult but I chose the things that I see myself being influenced by when making decisions. I also chose connection because it is something I need to focus more on developing and nurturing. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONNature Enjoy the Sunrise/SunsetFather Thomas Berry says, "... our primary purpose is celebration. Celebration of the dawn and the sunset and the different seasons of the year is a religious ritual, a way in which humans can establish their integral relationship with the universe, with the planet Earth." What is your response to Berry's assertion?
Bigi Luginbuhl 10/27/2020 8:15 AMI completely agree. I celebrate the changing of seasons and sunrise and sunset. Nature is my religion and I believe it does align me more with nature and to appreciate all that it teaches us.
