Last day! Was really fun being a part of this challenge
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Waste
Maybe you've heard how good it is to switch from a single use coffee cup to a reusable one, but it's just hard to make the switch. What stands in your way of making this a habit? By identifying the challenges, you can begin to work through them to have better success in taking this action. Knowing the difference you are making, how does it make you feel?

Hinderance to this becoming a habit is when you are travelling and buy a coffee on the go. Certain stores use only single use cups and you are left with no choice. I feel good knowing I can make the change. Need to make the switch to a reusable one.

"Earth provides enough to satisfy every man’s needs, but not every man’s greed"
Very apt quote for the day.

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Waste
What do you do if you find yourself in the situation of needing a bag for items but don't have a reusable one with you or aren't allowed to use the one you brought? Carry things out in your hands? In a cart? Accept a disposable one? If you find yourself in this position often, what system could you put in place to try to create a successful habit of not using plastic bags?

If the re-usable bags I carry are not allowed, I would only buy the essentials so I can carry the things in my hand
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Simplicity
How can you prevent yourself from accumulating more things in the future?

Concentrate on what is needed and not hoard things just because you think you might need them.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Water
How can your region/household prepare for changing water situations in order to become more resilient?

Re-cycle water as much as possible
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Waste
Reducing your paper mail can reduce mental clutter as well as physical waste -- by reducing what is coming in, you can reduce what is going into the recycling bin too. How does it make you feel? What is the next step you will take to reduce your waste?

Helps to de-clutter with e-bills. Continue doing this and opt for e-bills whenever possible.
