Katarzyna Miczulska 10/28/2020 3:35 AMThe Eco-friendly Community
Growing an eco-friendly community is getting easier. There are more and more community gardens, swap meets and farmer’s markets that make it easier for an entire community to actively participate in eco-friendly activities. If your community doesn’t have any of these, you should consider getting them started.

Katarzyna Miczulska 10/27/2020 12:29 AMEncourage the Mantra ‘Reduce, Reuse, Recycle’These three well-known principles of waste management will make your office more eco friendly. Offices should set up different containers for different types of products. Use recycling bins for paper, plastic, and soft drink cans, rather than throwing everything out in one bin.

Katarzyna Miczulska 10/27/2020 12:28 AMUnplug Before TravellingEven if electronic devices are shut off or in sleep mode, they are still using energy. Being away for too long wastes a lot of energy that could otherwise have been plugged off. So, before going on vacation, make sure to unplug your devices from the wall sockets, in order to save electricity.
-
Katarzyna Miczulska 10/27/2020 12:14 AMGive Away Perishable Food Items before TravellingBefore leaving for vacation, make sure to check if any food item in the fridge is about to expire. If possible, consume it before the expiry date, otherwise donate it to people in need and avoid food wastage.

Katarzyna Miczulska 10/26/2020 12:10 AMBe Mindful of Polluting Activities While AbroadParticipating in fun and social activities while abroad is a common thing, but there is a risk of inflicting damage to the environment. This includes littering at the beach, or hiking in areas where one might cause damage to the local area. Being mindful about the consequences of one’s action can make a big difference for the local communities.

Katarzyna Miczulska 10/25/2020 4:22 AMMake Green Choices to Go to SchoolAs driving emits pollution, parents should consider alternative ways of getting their children to school. Whether that is walking them to school or making them use public transportation. Using the car less can make a huge difference to the environment in the long run. In some cities like Copenhagen and Amsterdam, parents use cargo bikes to ride their children to school, which is a great eco friendly solution to using a car.

Katarzyna Miczulska 10/25/2020 2:39 AMHow to Make the School Experience More GreenThere are a lot of things that parents can do to ensure that their kids are more environmentally friendly at school. Whether it’s walking your kid to school, or ensuring that they use environmentally friendly school supplies to minimise the damage done to nature. Inspiring kids to contribute to a greener environment and world is something we could and should do.

Katarzyna Miczulska 10/24/2020 4:23 AMThe Ultimate 20 Step Guide to Eco-friendly Living
Step 20: Choose your personal care wisely
When it comes to personal hygiene there are several things you need to be careful to avoid for a truly eco-friendly lifestyle. The most damaging of these is microbeads, which are small bits of solid plastic which aren’t biodegradable and make their way into watercourses and ultimately end up damaging the environment by entering the food chain. Make sure that your body wash, toothpaste, face scrub and other products do not contain these beads. In addition to this, avoiding chemicals and opting for natural cleaning products – like those sold by Lush is the best way to keep yourself and the environment clean.

Step 19: Plant some trees
Ecological sustainability is very important when it comes to eco-friendly living. Without a stable ecosystem, things start to fall apart. Making sure that we’re planting more native trees to replace those that have been felled to make room for developments is something that more people and businesses need to do to protect the environment and improve air quality.
