Transportation Research and Consider Switching to a Hybrid or Electric Vehicle

I did not have a clear idea, in my learning today I stumbled on this page from the Indian Journal of Medical Research. It's a long read but informative.

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Nature Spend Time Outside
Rachel Carson said that we need the beauty and mysteries of the natural world for our spiritual and emotional development. Does that ring true for you? What are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time indoors?

    Nazia Mujeeb 10/28/2020 7:51 AM
I agree! My childhood was beautiful! ( we did not have phones, fewer TV channels, no Netflix, etc.).
The below article I read, in my opinion, summarizes the implications well:

Personally, I don't see many as of now. I live in a space where cleanliness, recycling, and efficient use of resources are prioritized.

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Waste Use Reusable Bags
What do you do if you find yourself in the situation of needing a bag for items but don't have a reusable one with you or aren't allowed to use the one you brought? Carry things out in your hands? In a cart? Accept a disposable one? If you find yourself in this position often, what system could you put in place to try to create a successful habit of not using plastic bags?

    Nazia Mujeeb 10/28/2020 7:32 AM
I generally put it in a returnable- cart and empty it in the car trunk.
