I viewed an illuminating  documentary on American politics and its effects on the Black community. It detailed how seemingly good legislation - laws intended to protect American citizens - was often thinly veiled control methods that was/is detrimental to people of color. The American culture (at its finest) can not be sustained when citizens are marginalized. How can we sustain the very foundation of our country - life, liberty, pursuit of happiness - if hate and discontent rule our daily lives?
