REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Go PaperlessReducing your paper mail can reduce mental clutter as well as physical waste -- by reducing what is coming in, you can reduce what is going into the recycling bin too. How does it make you feel? What is the next step you will take to reduce your waste?
Zuleyka Ortiz 10/24/2020 11:13 AMCutting back on paper mail makes me feel like I'm on the right track towards environmental responsibility. Now, I must be aware of how we use paper, modify the behavior of the excessive use of paper. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Launch a Recycling ProgramHow might thinking creatively help us address big systems problems differently?
Zuleyka Ortiz 10/23/2020 4:53 PMBig problems require innovative and creative solutions to find effective alternatives that can help a community improve its living conditions. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportation Improve a Bus StopHow can you advocate for transportation systems which minimize environmental impact while also meeting human needs?
Zuleyka Ortiz 10/22/2020 11:46 AMThe transportation system in my country is not efficient. It is mainly based on individual transportation in motor vehicles. I would advocate for the promotion of bicycle transportation as one of the alternatives to improve the transportation system, and at the same time, the health of citizens and the environment. -

REFLECTION QUESTIONEnergy Install Alternative EnergyHow is your region being affected by climate change? How will it be affected in the future?
Zuleyka Ortiz 10/19/2020 9:02 AMMy region has a hotter climate due to climate change. I understand that in the future this climate change should increase the frequency of drought cycles that have already begun to occur. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONCommunity Join My Neighborhood AssociationHow can your community support inclusive decision making?
Zuleyka Ortiz 10/18/2020 4:35 PMMy community can support inclusive decision making by encouraging participation in meetings that we hold periodically to discuss issues of interest. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWater Mulch the Base of Trees and PlantsWhere are your nearest natural bodies of water? How might they be affected by runoff?
Zuleyka Ortiz 10/17/2020 10:08 AMThe closest natural water bodies are rivers that are next to the community where we live. I observe that when it rains very hard, the waters drag garbage into the river. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportation Car ShareTake a moment to think of places you frequent often (work, grocery store, school, natural areas). Could you choose one or two days a week to schedule driving with a friend, neighbor or co-worker to these places?
