Community

Support Comerica's National Day of Service

As an extension to Comerica's National Day of Service in September, consider conducting a virtual volunteer action that supports our communities. Since there are no organized in-person river, beach or lake clean-ups in most communities this year, if you would like, you can consider cleaning up around your house and neighborhood to support your local environment as neighborhood storm drains commonly drain to local water bodies. Please do not invite others outside of your household if you choose this action.

Caring begins with yourself; When you nurture yourself it outwardly shows and affects those around you positively
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Water Conserve Toilet Water
What would a sustainable water future in your region look like? What needs to change?

The use of water and overall consumption of water when necessary. The region here would benefit by lower costs. The use of timed lawn sprinklers is a waste, too many are going off in the middle of a rain storm. Just turning them on manually would help some of the waste, not running the water while shaving-keeping a bowl of water to rinse the razor is a small but incremental step.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Health Forgiveness
How has the process of forgiving, or contemplating forgiveness, benefited you?

Helped me reduce my stress, letting go of excess baggage I was carrying; Harboring resentment did nothing for no one, just made my life harder. I find it hard to do, but the peace I get, is the ultimate reward.
