REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Healing and Renewal HappinessHow does/can practicing gratitude keep you centered and motivated to work for a better world?
Rebecca Roberts 10/28/2020 10:17 AMThere has been so much negativity lately that it is easy to get caught up in it. I found by doing this exercise, I was able to ground myself in good things, be more positive and have more energy to put towards the good things in my life. It was actually a strange process to stop and actively think about my life this way. It got easier the more I did it. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Healing and Renewal Go for a Daily Walk OutsideFresh air and movement are good for our entire being and can help us think more clearly and creatively. How does taking a walk each day affect yourself and/or your work?
Rebecca Roberts 10/28/2020 10:14 AMI am happier and more productive when I have been able to get outside and walk. It is by far one of my favorite activities. It is more than just exercising. It is the fresh air, the scenery, the space. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth Go Get a Check UpHow do you practice self care?
Rebecca Roberts 10/28/2020 10:13 AMI don't practice self care near enough in my daily activities, but I do always get my annual checkup. I would say that when I do practice self care, I feel a little guilty about the time spent even though I know it is necessary. So, I continue to work on giving myself permission to care for myself. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONNature Plant TreesHow is planting trees good for your mental, physical, and spiritual health?
Rebecca Roberts 10/28/2020 10:11 AMKnowing that I am adding to the ecosystem in a positive way for years and years to come is extremely gratifying. But more than that, it is me stepping outside of myself and my life and participating in something larger. Connecting with others that are interested in the same thing is also very uplifting. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONNature Join An Outdoor ProjectHow well do you know the area you live in? In what ways is a deep knowledge of your surroundings -- known as a 'sense of place' -- important to you?
Rebecca Roberts 10/28/2020 10:07 AMBeing connected to place is very important to me. Volunteering around the community helps me to get a more in depth understanding of where I live and the activity that goes on outside of my normal circle. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicity De-Clutter My HomeHow can you prevent yourself from accumulating more things in the future?
Rebecca Roberts 10/27/2020 5:13 PMReally focus on needs vs wants. Also simplify: If you always use the same pan but have 4 other ones, do you really need the others? -
Rebecca Roberts 10/20/2020 12:20 PMI'm very motivated right now to declutter. I'm doing a bit almost every day. So much stuff I don't need. Also working on not getting any more stuff. Feels good.
