REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicity De-Clutter My HomeHow can you prevent yourself from accumulating more things in the future?
Shelly Rosett 10/27/2020 3:04 PMThe pandemic has made that easier since we rarely go out to shop. I would like to keep that trend going and use lists to determine what we actually need vs what we want to buy. I have been practicing the Marie Kondo way of going through the house, only keeping what gives us joy. It is easier to part with things that way.

REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Weekly Meal PlanningAn average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four in the US spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Does this surprise you? Where would you rather use this money?
Shelly Rosett 10/27/2020 3:01 PMSince menu planning I definitely have less food waste. We are mindful of eating any leftovers, and its been nice to save a little $ buying only what we will be using for meals, vs impulse shopping and ending up with food that doesn't get eaten. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicity Less Screen TimeWhat did you notice in implementing this challenge? Was it hard to choose other activities over screen time? How did you decide to spend your time?
Shelly Rosett 10/23/2020 9:58 AMI was fortunate to have several client deliveries, so was out doing this in the afternoon. It felt nice to be away from the computer for an extended time, but still being able to be productive. -
Shelly Rosett 10/16/2020 12:36 PMToday I reflected on how quickly weather can change from the beautiful colors of fall switching over to the freshness of new fallen snow. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONNature Do Nature ActivitiesWhat did you observe while spending time outside -- through sight, sound, smell and/or touch?
Shelly Rosett 10/12/2020 8:09 AMWhat I love about spending time outside is the crispness of the air, the beauty of the fall colors, leaves in the trees and falling to the yard, and the crunch/swoosh sound when we walk through them. My Jack Russell, Abby, loves to chase them when the wind blows.
