REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Healing and Renewal Engage In Active ListeningWhat was it like to actively listen to someone? How did both people and the conversation(s) benefit from active listening?
Kim Thompson 10/17/2020 4:36 PMIt takes more energy to actively listen, but I learn more and retain more of what the person was saying. Benefits both to be engaged fully and to know that they are worthy to be heard. -

REFLECTION QUESTIONCommunity Research Voter SuppressionWhat are the ways in which voters are prohibited from or discouraged from voting in your region and/or state? What could be done to get rid of these barriers?
Kim Thompson 10/17/2020 4:15 PMOur president discouraged mail-in voting by alleging that it was rampant with fraud and inaccuracies. This in turn will influence voters to suspect election outcomes, and possibly not even vote. Washington has improved its voting rights actually. The Mail-In system is one good example of expanding access to voting.
