What was it like to actively listen to someone? How did both people and the conversation(s) benefit from active listening?

It takes more energy to actively listen, but I learn more and retain more of what the person was saying.   Benefits both to be engaged fully and to know that they are worthy to be heard.

Why do people in richer countries eat more meat than people in other places? How does eating more meat affect our planet and other people?

    Kim Thompson's avatar
    Kim Thompson 10/17/2020 4:22 PM
    1) changing diets to fitness goals (paleo, high protein), 2) wealth (meat is more expensive than plant protein like beans 3) climate enables more meat production   ...   eating more meat consumes more water/soil/energy/plant resources, less sustainable for the planet,  more water pollution leading to related health issues for people,

    Community Research Voter Suppression
What are the ways in which voters are prohibited from or discouraged from voting in your region and/or state? What could be done to get rid of these barriers?

Our president discouraged mail-in voting by alleging that it  was rampant with fraud and inaccuracies.    This in turn will influence voters to suspect election outcomes, and possibly not even vote.   Washington has improved its voting rights actually.  The Mail-In system is one good example of expanding access to voting.
