  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Energy Install Alternative Energy
How is your region being affected by climate change? How will it be affected in the future?

    Alejandro Villa's avatar
    Alejandro Villa 10/24/2020 11:06 AM
We are very busy with other things and we are not realizing the great impact of climate change on the environment of our region. It is evident that with the reduction of existing rainfall, our agriculture will be reduced as well.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Transportation Car Share
Take a moment to think of places you frequent often (work, grocery store, school, natural areas). Could you choose one or two days a week to schedule driving with a friend, neighbor or co-worker to these places?

    Alejandro Villa's avatar
    Alejandro Villa 10/23/2020 3:13 PM
A co-worker and I coordinate to drive to work in a single car three times a week.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Waste Go Paperless
Reducing your paper mail can reduce mental clutter as well as physical waste -- by reducing what is coming in, you can reduce what is going into the recycling bin too. How does it make you feel? What is the next step you will take to reduce your waste?

    Alejandro Villa's avatar
    Alejandro Villa 10/22/2020 7:45 AM
Reducing paper mail benefited me in terms of organization. It is easier to have the information online. I am evaluating additional suppliers who send me paper mail to switch to electronic mail.

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Water Ditch the Lawn
What is the main water source in your region? How does that water get to you?

    Alejandro Villa's avatar
    Alejandro Villa 10/20/2020 7:41 AM
The main source of water in my region are wells. The water comes to my house through pumping stations and pipes.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Waste Launch a Recycling Program
How might thinking creatively help us address big systems problems differently?

    Alejandro Villa's avatar
    Alejandro Villa 10/19/2020 9:30 AM
When we have big problems in our society, it is usually because what we are doing has stopped working. When that happens, it's time to think creatively to help us solve the problem differently.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Waste Personal Waste Audit
Why is it often difficult to understand the impacts our purchases and waste have on other people, animals, and places?

    Alejandro Villa's avatar
    Alejandro Villa 10/18/2020 4:08 PM
It is often difficult to understand the impacts that our purchases and waste have on other people, animals and places because we are not aware of the composition and the time it takes to destroy the materials we use and throw away.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Health Audit Toxic Cleaning Products in my Home
To what extent do environmental factors contribute to your own health or issues with health?

    Alejandro Villa's avatar
    Alejandro Villa 10/17/2020 10:30 AM
Environmental factors contribute directly to our health, for example, if the quality of the air we breathe is not good, our health is adversely impacted.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Water Mulch the Base of Trees and Plants
Where are your nearest natural bodies of water? How might they be affected by runoff?

    Alejandro Villa's avatar
    Alejandro Villa 10/16/2020 8:40 AM
The closest natural body of water to my community is a lake. If we do not maintain the surrounding area with good vegetation, runoff waters can erode the land and impact the quality of the water in the lake.
