Having participated in this ecochallenge, I have become more thoughtful about recycling and planning out my errand running.  When I need to leave the house, I try to make multiple stops while out rather than return home and leave again.  I try to buy only what I need and reduce waste. With everyone's help, we can all improve sustainability!

Today I am calling my HVAC maintenance company to schedule my fall tune-up to ensure my system is working as efficiently as possible.  Have you done your fall-tune-up?  It's time!

Subscribing to a meal delivery service (we use Hello Fresh) has greatly reduced our trips to the grocery store (time, gas and $$ saved).  In addition, since each meal contains only what you need to make to make that meal, I don't have to throw out a bunch of things that go bad, or throw out leftovers that never get eaten.  As a plus, my husband has gotten quite proficient at chopping vegetables! :)  Yes, the meals come in a cardboard box, which we always recycle.  If anyone in this group wants a code for a $40 discount on a box, just let me know.  They are very tasty!!

Instead of buying bottled water, we take a 2 gal. jug to Publix and fill it at their filtered water machine for $0.30/gal.  Saves money as well as plastic bottles!
