Jimmy Yeap 10/07/2020 12:50 AMIf there is a need to encourage people to eat less meat (due to the environmental effects of raising cows), why can't they price the meatless alternatives to be the same or cheaper than actual meat? -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWater 5-Minute ShowersName some of the human activities impacting the health of water systems, both locally (your watershed) and globally (freshwater and oceans). What can you do to improve the health of water systems?
Jimmy Yeap 9/25/2020 2:39 AMMining, illegal logging and over-population of the human race. Making the commitment to not waste water and take as short a shower as possible. Make sure our kids who are the future generation learns this as well. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Use Reusable BagsWhat do you do if you find yourself in the situation of needing a bag for items but don't have a reusable one with you or aren't allowed to use the one you brought? Carry things out in your hands? In a cart? Accept a disposable one? If you find yourself in this position often, what system could you put in place to try to create a successful habit of not using plastic bags?
Jimmy Yeap 9/25/2020 2:37 AMI will not buy the item. Instead will go back to my car to get the recycle bags. If there are any bags that I end up taking, it will be recycled at home as garbage bags. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportation Conduct Virtual MeetingsHow can you ensure that your virtual meetings honor your values and your company's culture?
Jimmy Yeap 9/25/2020 2:36 AMGiven the current COVID situation, working remotely from home has become the norm. To respect other's time, I will usually keep to the allocated meeting time and will share the agenda ahead of time if it is known. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicity Track My PurchasesWhat have you noticed about your purchases? Where are you inclined to make shifts, if any?
Jimmy Yeap 9/25/2020 2:35 AMI try to get into the habit of buying only what I need and I hope I can ingrain this trait to my kids as well. We also tend to eat more at home and less outside. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONEnergy Turn It OffHow is electricity generated where you live? How does it impact the environment, animals, and humans?
Jimmy Yeap 9/25/2020 2:33 AM95% of Singapore's electricity is still generated by natural gas which is petroleum based. The government should increase the use of solar/wind as a renewable source of energy over time to reduce the environment impacts.-
Lee Ming Chang 10/07/2020 12:11 AMHow about supporting "green" electricity plan offerings by some of the electricity retailers?
