I restructured my plans to fly home for Thanksgiving. In order to do this, I had to coordinate with a friend to come pick me up. Although this will not be a possibility for 100% of my trips home, I will take advantage of my friends' free time and coordinate fun and more eco-friendly trips whenever I can.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Health Reduce Refined Sugar
Before you started this challenge, did you think you were 'addicted' to sugar? How do you feel now?

I definitely viewed myself as being "addicted" to sugar. After a few days of going sugar-free, I find it easier to carve my cravings. I used to supplement every meal with something sweet, but I am finding easier to avoid this.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

What do you plan to do with the money you save from making more energy efficient choices?

I won't directly save any money from making this efficient energy choice. That being said, if a majority of WashU students switched to cold water, the university would save a significant amount of money that they could put towards more sustainable forms of energy such as solar power.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Community Research Voter Suppression
What are the ways in which voters are prohibited from or discouraged from voting in your region and/or state? What could be done to get rid of these barriers?

One thing that dissuades people from voting in my state is the insanely long lines at polling locations. More convenient and efficient voting locations have large potential to increase voter turnout.
