My pal Grace & I collected the plastic bags from around campus to recycle at Jewel, since they take all sorts of plastic bags.

Honestly, I need to cut down on the daily Dunkin's. I love the coffee, but the 1 plastic cup a day adds up so much in the landfill.

Through the process of learning to be more minimal and eco-friendly, I've learned to just carry some things with me that usually, I'd automatically accept a bag. I audibly tell the cashier I do not want a bag, but if I end up having one, I try to reuse it at home as a small bedroom trash bag or something else- not just tossing them all away....

Oh wow! I didn't know that a hazardous waste site was so close to my house in Naperville- the one on Fort Hill. As for which communities are most affected, I would say those in the townhome complexes nearby- me included! There are no waste sites near the more affluent parts of Naperville which is very telling that environmental justice issues...

My waste audit revealed jar/can labels, receipts, and take out containers.
