Practicing gratitude helps me drive out some of the negativity that is so prominent, especially in today's time. Through reciting the things I am grateful for and constantly thinking of those things, it helps me stay focused on the good so I can put my good vibes back into my every day work.

I thought I'd figured out socially responsible investing. But the economic health of savings vs. the economic health of actual people seems to be growing as obscenely disparate as overall inequality in this country. I need to learn more, and again.

The reuse part...so many ways to use stuff. And the do without part, means making do with what's available. We've eaten some very interesting meals, for instance, going through our pantry during quarantine.

Laura invited me to the ecochallenge, and I didn't want to join at first because I didn't know what I could bring to the table. This challenge has been beneficial to me because I have been able to reflect deeper on what means a lot to me. It has allowed me to take time out of my busy schedule to focus on myself, and that is very important amid a global pandemic where many of us are stuck in our routines.

Practicing gratitude helps me realize everything I am grateful for in my life and how I can use my blessings to provide for others. I started a gratitude journal to keep track of things I am thankful for.

I observed fresh cut grass, the fall leaves, dogs with their owners, and the sound of children getting on school buses to prepare for their school days.

I can begin inviting my family and friends on walks with me, even though I typically use this as my personal time.

My daughter got me started in the EcoChallenge. I like working out and recycling, so this is a neat way for me to become aware of other things I can do to benefit the world around me.

The people's ecochallenge is going well for me. I have been enjoying not only completing the tasks, but reflecting on them as well. This is a really cool way to see the impact you make in the world, even if what you are doing may seem small.
