    The easiest way for me is to break the problems into smaller problems.  The problem becomes less daunting and will allow for success along the way.  Be a good listener.  Focus on another individual.  Sometimes this is all another person needs to find their way.

    The term empathy comes to mind. If a person can try and "walk in another person's shoes", to see what they are experiencing. This will allow a person to "take stalk" of their own situation and have gratitude for everything in their life.
