Waste

Skip the Straw

Do at Home

Plastic bags and small plastic pieces like straws are most likely to get swept into our waterways. I will keep 3 plastic straw(s) out of the landfill and ocean each day by refusing straws or using my own glass/metal straw.

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Waste Go Paperless
Reducing your paper mail can reduce mental clutter as well as physical waste -- by reducing what is coming in, you can reduce what is going into the recycling bin too. How does it make you feel? What is the next step you will take to reduce your waste?

I use a rocket book notebook to take notes for classes. This offsets 5 one subject notebooks a semester that I normally would use.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Action Track: Healing and Renewal Go for a Daily Walk Outside
Fresh air and movement are good for our entire being and can help us think more clearly and creatively. How does taking a walk each day affect yourself and/or your work?

Taking a walk each day helps me to relax. This year especially is very stressful and it always helps to take a nice walk through nature to refresh after being bombarded with covid news, school work, or election information. It gives me some time to think about myself and clear my head.
