My top core values are working hard, being kind and companionate, and practicing self love and reflection. I chose these because practicing these values help keep me balanced and they remind me of what is important.

I watched a documentary in my government class called Race in America. It explained and showed how REAL, scary, and harmful racism is in our country and our criminal justice systems.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

Mindful eating is healthier for us than eating with distractions. How do your eating experiences differ when practicing mindfulness?

Putting all distractions away while eating, especially my phone, is so important to me because I feel like I enjoy my meals more and feel more satisfied without distractions.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Simplicity Limit Social Media
Social media can keep us connected with loved ones, make us laugh, and help us to learn new things. It can also take more time than we realize or intend to give. After doing this action for a few days, how do you feel? What do you notice?

I have been really trying to stay off social media and my phone in general because I notice when I am on it too much I am less productive and spend less time outside. I have been kind of successful but I definitely want to continue it because Im feeling much better.
