Voting Advocacy

I plan to spend a minimum of 10 minutes each day or 70mins/ week working to make sure my friends vote and doing volunteer calls in swing states once I get through reaching out to friends. With the up-coming election this feels essential if we want to have hope for off-setting catastrophic climate change. A lot of progressives that I know are disillusioned and uninspired right now and may need a bit of extra encouragement to keep hope and do what they can, even if Biden isn't their dream candidate.

Thanks Everyone for joining our People's Eco-Challenge team with me! Just wanted to say hello and thanks now that we're one day in. I just signed up to help with voter registration and education in NC, where I used to live to try and offset some of the voter suppression that's likely to happen there, through misinformation and intimidation. I picked two wellness related daily challenges to help keep myself going and two challenges related to advocacy to support the critical upcoming election. It took me a minute to figure out how to report completed actions (clicking the round button in the middle of the action block rather than the "post a reflection" button). This is probably obvious to others, but sharing just in case. If there's any way I can support or provide guidance for your eco-challenge experience please don't hesitate to reach out.
    GO TEAM!!

Consider how many hours of sleep you get now. How would you like to shift your sleep patterns? What are you finding works for you to be successful in this action?

I typically get ~6hrs of sleep or less these days. It's tricky with an infant, but my goal is to be more consistent about getting into bed by 10:30 and winding down for the night by 10 and discussing with may partner. I have been more focused on this the past week and plan to continue. This way I can maximize the sleep that I am able to get regardless of the babe. We're also working on sleep training with Angelo. Practicing bed-time rituals like stretching and meditation and herbal tea has helped in the past.

Good luck!!!  Bed-time rituals are key so you are on the right track for sure.  Having kids made me create routines and now that they are gone, I am cherishing creating my own routines.
