Community

Support Comerica's National Day of Service

As an extension to Comerica's National Day of Service in September, consider conducting a virtual volunteer action that supports our communities. Since there are no organized in-person river, beach or lake clean-ups in most communities this year, if you would like, you can consider cleaning up around your house and neighborhood to support your local environment as neighborhood storm drains commonly drain to local water bodies. Please do not invite others outside of your household if you choose this action.

I have to say the documentary I watched made me cry, upset, and disgusted. It blows my mind that this evilness/racial injustice was and still is in our country today. I have mixed races in my family so racism has not been in my face growing up. I am glad that we are talking about this amongst each other, in our companies and the media today. I know in my heart that our country will change racial injustice because we are starting now.

How can you incorporate other personal values (like quality time with friends or spending time in nature) into your exercise routine?

I've started taking my niece and nephews with me on walks. It was a little tough for them at the start due to them being inside their house so long from COVID-19 but they've started to enjoy it because we talk, do school games and other things while walking. We love it.

I am finding that walking on the treadmill in the morning before I start my work day feels good. I will try to keep this process up.
