Katie Leonard 10/15/2020 9:05 AMHi team. Even though I’m not checking in much I’m doing the work. Trying to reduce screen time is good for me, but means I’m not checking in every day. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWater 5-Minute ShowersName some of the human activities impacting the health of water systems, both locally (your watershed) and globally (freshwater and oceans). What can you do to improve the health of water systems?
Katie Leonard 10/15/2020 9:04 AMI usually try to limit my shower time. During normal times I shower every two to three days. During Covid I shower maybe once a week... while I shower less frequently, I think they’re slightly longer showers than I used to take. Does this even it out? I should probably bring back the timer I used to keep in the shower. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicity Less Screen TimeWhat did you notice in implementing this challenge? Was it hard to choose other activities over screen time? How did you decide to spend your time?
Katie Leonard 10/15/2020 9:02 AMI am walking or doing crafts or prepping for baby’s arrival. I still listen to audiobooks. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicity Limit Social MediaSocial media can keep us connected with loved ones, make us laugh, and help us to learn new things. It can also take more time than we realize or intend to give. After doing this action for a few days, how do you feel? What do you notice?
Katie Leonard 10/15/2020 9:01 AMI am much happier limiting my phone use. This is one of the reasons I haven’t checked in as often to the eco challenge. Sitting and scrolling is a waste of time!! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth More Fruits and VeggiesHow does eating more fruits and vegetables and less meat positively affect yourself, other people, and our planet?
