A group in Japan created an edible replacement for plastic bags to protect deer in one of their parks.  They used recycled milk cartons and rice bran, a biproduct that normally goes to waste.

Everyone, don't let the pandemic scare you off your annual exams.  Just heard from a colleague who caught and successfully treated early stage breast cancer in August because she didn't put off her mammogram.  Health facilities are taking extra precautions to keep us safe during checkups.  We can't take care of the planet if we're not looking after ourselves.

Today is my Imperfect Foods grocery delivery day.  I'm so grateful to have found this service at the start of the pandemic to safely get healthy produce and help reduce food waste.

I am really enjoying not having to mess with the packaging on chicken or turkey by adding even more meatless meals.  The cooler weather is perfect for lots of veggie soups, lentils, and beans.

Today I enjoyed a fitting kickoff to the challenge with a virtual conference that included a fantastic session on sustainability.  Great inspiration!
