    Why do people in richer countries eat more meat than people in other places? How does eating more meat affect our planet and other people?

     The richer countries, I believe people are more removed from their food sources and the environmental impacts of meat are not accounted for in the price of meat. The greenhouse gas emissions associated with meat consumption are exponentially higher than a vegetarian diet.
