  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Energy Adjust the Thermostat
Your utility company is able to tell you your average energy usage. Ask them how your energy usage compares to others in your ZIP code, region, and/or state. What other steps can you take each day to reduce your electricity usage?

    Bartosz Snoch 10/28/2020 7:12 AM
To reduce the energy usage I would recommend adjusting the hardware in the home- for example, we can save a lot of energy simply by lowering the temperature in Freezer or Fridge. What is more, it is worth turning off the devices that are in standby mode as they are consuming loads of energy.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Waste Learn About & Practice Sustainable Fashion
How can you express your personality, creativity, and values in ways that don't require fast fashion or buying more clothes and accessories?

    Bartosz Snoch's avatar
    Bartosz Snoch 10/28/2020 7:10 AM
One way is to use existing tools or buy tools that will last for years and allow us to liberate ourselves - examples of such tools are, for example, musical instruments and tools that allow you to create art. In addition, there are many different ways where no tools are required - such as dancing or singing.

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Nature Paint your area in green
Do you know how long does a plastic bottle take to decompose? How about styrofoam? How you can help our world to stay alive?

    Bartosz Snoch's avatar
    Bartosz Snoch 10/26/2020 2:03 AM
A plastic bottle can decompose for over a thousand years. Personally, I try to reduce the use of products in plastic packaging - in the case of other products, the packaging is washed and recycled.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Waste Recycle everything I can
Each small cap from plastic bottle can be helpfull. Do you know any other small thing that can be used in the similar way? How you can help to your community using some small things?

    Bartosz Snoch's avatar
    Bartosz Snoch 10/26/2020 2:01 AM
Waste paper collection allows us to reduce the number of cut trees - thanks to more and more effective processes, the acquisition of cellulose from renewable resources is increasing. A similar situation occurs with batteries - thanks to their recycling, it is possible to reduce the negative effect of the chemical processes required for their production. The regeneration of products is often more profitable than their recycling.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Community Support to Local Animal Shelter
How can you help to your local animal shelter? Do you know any of the animal shelter in your nearest area? learn how to support them.

    Bartosz Snoch's avatar
    Bartosz Snoch 10/26/2020 1:59 AM
Personally, as a fan of photography, I joined the group on FB of one of the shelters in order to help - this group, thanks to the commitment of its members, photographs the animals staying in the shelter, making it easier to find a home for them.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Waste Personal Waste Audit
Why is it often difficult to understand the impacts our purchases and waste have on other people, animals, and places?

    Bartosz Snoch's avatar
    Bartosz Snoch 10/26/2020 1:55 AM
Because we do not reflect on the consequences of our daily decisions. If we spend a few minutes each day to think and think, we can come to the requirements of what should be changed in our lives. Before each purchase, I recommend proper planning of what we want and why we want to buy.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Transportation Improve a Bus Stop
How can you advocate for transportation systems which minimize environmental impact while also meeting human needs?

    Bartosz Snoch's avatar
    Bartosz Snoch 10/26/2020 1:53 AM
In the era of a pandemic, it is difficult due to the social distance - but when it comes to normal, everyday travel around the city, I believe that using, for example, trams allow you to get to the place faster during rush hours - and also to reduce the carbon footprint and smog of any day we produce.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Transportation Stay on the Ground
What was your process like for restructuring your trip? How can you avoid more air travel in the future?

    Bartosz Snoch's avatar
    Bartosz Snoch 10/26/2020 1:51 AM
The use of group transport allows you to significantly reduce the amount of exhaust fumes - many places can be reached with the help of, for example, a train - which I definitely recommend. Thanks to this, in addition to protecting the environment, we will also be able to save money often.
